CSU Employee Appreciation Board
Notice our new name?
In 2011, the CSU Activities Board passed a resolution to change its name to the CSU Employee Appreciation Board. The new name more aptly reflects the work of the CSUEAB – to recognize and celebrate employee groups at Colorado State for their outstanding achievements. The effective date of the change was April 6, 2011.
About us
The Colorado State University Employee Appreciation Board (CSUEAB) was formed in 1968 making it one of the longest-standing traditions on campus. Originally called the “Faculty Club Board” and then renamed the Colorado State Activities Board the mission of the board – to recognize and promote community spirit among CSU faculty and staff - has remained constant over the years.
The volunteers on the board – the RAMbassadors - are composed of representatives from across campus, ideally including the President’s Office, each of the Vice President’s offices, each of the Colleges, Cooperative Extension, the CSU Forest Service, the Classified Personnel Council, the Administrative Professional Council, and others.
The board meets monthly during the academic year to discuss and plan employee recognition events, as well as to help promote University events. One of the main objectives of the board is the monthly recognition of a group, entity, or College. The board collects nominations from across campus and then votes on whom to recognize each month with events such as a luncheon, breakfast, or ice cream social. The board also takes this opportunity to showcase the group being recognized with an article in Today@Colostate.
We encourage and invite you to nominate a campus unit; please Contact Us or feel free to contact any of the Board Officers.
In addition to the monthly group recognition events, the board also conducts monthly drawings. Keep an eye out for entry forms in your mailbox or contact Linda Wardlow at 491-0326 to request a form if you did not receive one.
If you would like more information on the CSUEAB, please contact Kim Okamoto, CSUEAB President, at Kim.Okamoto@colostate.edu.
